As fireworks light up our skies this 4th of July, I’m reminded that the true spark of freedom doesn’t begin in the sky—it begins in the heart.
This day is more than barbecues and celebrations. It’s a moment to reflect on what it truly means to be free. For some of us, freedom has never been freely given—we’ve had to fight for it. Build it. Believe in it when the odds were against us.
As a father, business leader, and community builder, I carry the weight and the power of legacy. I look at my children, my community, my people—and I see the embodiment of dreams deferred and dreams ignited. Our independence is not marked by a date. It’s marked by our courage to show up, rise up, and build something greater than what we inherited.
We celebrate today not just with flags and fireworks, but with a promise.
A promise to build wealth that lasts.
To lead with honor.
To serve with purpose.
And to ignite a fire in others, so that no one is left in the dark.
So today, I honor those who came before us—whose bravery was not always recognized in the history books. And I honor those standing tall now, building businesses, raising families, speaking truth, and changing narratives.
Let this Independence Day remind you: You are powerful. You are capable. And the fire within you can light the way for generations.
